Shandong buddies came to SIngapore.. It's damn last minute. The message informing us that they are coming was the day before, on youth day.. DoTs..

There wa sonce when we brought them to BIO SPA.. We were doing a actual SPA which was going to be counted in our CA. We were given 2 syringe, 4 test tube... BLaH BLAH..and most importantly, THERMOMETER! This thermometer... haiss...

I was preparing the stuff, and my buddy went to take the thermometer. Then, to my horror, she kept shakign the thermometer. I was like =.= (what are you doing?!) I wanted to say this to her, but come to think of it, it's not so nice to say this,ha? Therefore, i just take the thermometer from her and said that this thermometer don't it. Because she was saying that it needs shaking so that the temperature would drop.. I felt so ridiculous lol..

Then days went rather slow, or fast..

Jiawei, kaixin, sinyee and i headed to SAFRA..
At first, we plan to go swim, then play bowling, arcade and eat seoul garden..
But, we need CASHCARD to pay for the ticket fee to swim!
If we bought a cashcard, it cost 10 bucks.
But ther's only 5 bucks credit..
If we wanna top up, we have to give another 0.50 bucks..
It's not worth it, right..
So, we decide to go WOODLANDS SWIMMING COMPLEX..
That's after lunch..
So, since we'll are at SAFRA, we went to play bowling first..
2.70 bucks for each person per game and 1.70 bucks to rent the shoe..
Ok, it was funny to see how sinyee threw the bowling ball out...

It's the project R.I.C.E CIP. We are expected to fall in at 7am. Jiawei and i reached school and we saw a group of Abengs sitting outside the school. No,don't get the wron idea,not riot,and not rebelling too. It's just that the main gate is not opened. Iskander was there,standing beside the pole. Great,he wore shorts.Aren't we supposed to standadise our attire? We joined them,you know, we sat down.
[ As we see now,the chinese have outnumbered the malays by 3 times. The atmosphere was so tense and it looked like a riot was about to break out between the two groups.Then a backup of the malays came.It was khairul. But he happened to be on our side! The chinese have already outnumber them!!!!] STUP UP!!!

Somehow we went ahead to discuss about the NCO camp. It's iskander whom we were talking about. He always act 'WEAK'. GOD,he is a guy!!! He was late for the camp for 1 day! Crap,the second day when we were having the campcraft session,he turned up. Miss yap ordered him to stand right in front of us. Then miss yap went to scold iskander.
[Grey clouds made its way towards iskander. He did nothing but stayed stood rooted onto the ground. Lightning and thunder went boom,boom! Strong gust of wind crept closer to him too. As he came in to a closer distanc ewith the gust, his face went totally crumpled! 3_V AM I GOING TO DIE??? ] Not that exaggerating actually..

His face went that crumpled you know. It seems like he was forcing himself to cry. That's not all, he did cried on the same day, which is several hours later. We were told to changed to full u,and he did not brought along his boots to camp. So,he got scolded by a CI. CI went shouting straight at him. What he did was-crumpled face-act sick-act tired-act weak-then cried. TOOOT,WALAU. please lar,that's only few minutes of scolding and he cried?! That's too TOOOT loh.. Just a bit of scoldings he had to cry,then what about the rest of us whom reported at the first day of the camp!!!! Shit him..

Well, we were divided into 3 areas and 3 divisions each.. For area 1, the temporary check point is at greenwood primary school. We waited damn long there.

We fall in at 7.30am that morning for the inter-unit game. Guess what,SJAB members were at the parade square playing floor ball. When we fall in,they were still playing. After reporting, they were still playing. They were like..I just don't know what to say.. Especially most of the SJAB girls!!! They will always chase after the ball,whole group of them,and THEY ALWAYS SCREAM!!!! I was like what the hell... Why they have to scream everytime?! Is the ball filled with poison? THe ball isn't an idol or what superstar... Fine,not that i don't scream,but it is when there's scary things,you know... I really can't dahan theor screamings.. I feel like giving them each a tight slap..SKIP that
There's two catergaries of games- archery and fifteen-legged race. ARCHERY was organised by BB,they won and got to keep the trophy.. As for the fifteen-legged race,it was a disaster!! 15 people,legs tied together and we still have to race.. blahblah..WE lost..

for the rest of the days,not fun,and sibei tiring.. WE have friends complaining that their camp is very tiring like the F5673623 and J223596. I feel like giving them a tight pull on their hair.. Please lar,if that's toruture i dun kinda believe,it's too exaggerating lor.. F trained in aircon room,J dun have to do pumpings..WHAT the HELL,they have the fave to say it's tiring!!! Recently,i find my ear stick getting a bit lose,i tried to put the second earstick in to the hole. Guess what?! I managed it,i managed to stuff three in each hole. hey,yesterday i went out with my sister in the morning. First stop,HER WORKPLACE-IMM. However before that,we have to find the way to reach there right? We waited for a long time,very very long,to hail for a taxi! You know what?! There is suppose to be a cab nearby as the passenger on board on the taxi is alighting. The bad news is the taxi stop right infront of a guy whon plans to hail a cab. My sis was like 'what!!!!' -.- In the end, after a hell time we managed to hail a taxi just like what happen above.WE GOT TO BE THAT GUY IN THE SCENARIO! ha!!! I went there surfing the internet,went to watch mythbusters! Nice,yo!!!
Next,we went to popular to spent the 20% voucher from the pop club magazine! I bought a new pilot mechanical pencil,a bit of dark pink. At first i was planning to purchase a blue one, but there's only green and dark pink. I used green before, so to try a new colour,i chose dark pink.
My sis also chose a big stapler,she wanted a purple one,but ther's only blue,green,yellow and of course pink,dark pink again.Then went buzzing to the novels side to take a look. I have few books in mind- A DOG YEAR by Jon katz and CHANGE OF HEART by Jodi Picoult. I could only find JOdi Picoult's book,i wonder where's the other book.... I took one and went looking around for my sister. But, no where to be found! I went looking and found her squating going through some books, ok let's not disturb her was what i thought. SO,when it's time to pay up she bought two books too.One is RICH DAD,POOR DAD. THis book, i saw kenny ong reading it before but the book is in hard cover and it's much thinner. TOtal up cost a 50Plus,i was going through the receipt and murmuring why 20% is so less?Is there a malcalculation?! And..ya,there's 20% discount still.....-.- hai,why can't they have a 50% discount..Best is all free!!!

A black hole is a region of space in which the gravitational field is so powerful that nothing, not even electromagnetic radiation (e.g. visible light), can escape its pull after having fallen past its event horizon. The term derives from the fact that the absorption of visible light renders the hole's interior invisible, and indistinguishable from the black space around it.
Despite its interior being invisible, a black hole may reveal its presence through an interaction with matter that lies in orbit outside its event horizon. For example, a black hole may be perceived by tracking the movement of a group of stars that orbit its center. Alternatively, one may observe gas (from a nearby star, for instance) that has been drawn into the black hole. The gas spirals inward, heating up to very high temperatures and emitting large amounts of radiation that can be detected from earthbound and earth-orbiting telescopes.[2][3] Such observations have resulted in the general scientific consensus that—barring a breakdown in our understanding of nature—black holes do exist in our universe.[4]
The idea of an object with gravity strong enough to prevent light from escaping was proposed in 1783 by John Michell,[5] an amateur British astronomer. In 1795, Pierre-Simon Laplace, a French physicist independently came to the same conclusion.[6][7] Black holes, as currently understood, are described by the general theory of relativity. This theory predicts that when a large enough amount of mass is present in a sufficiently small region of space, all paths through space are warped inwards towards the center of the volume, preventing all matter and radiation within it from escaping.
While general relativity describes a black hole as a region of empty space with a point-like singularity at the center and an event horizon at the outer edge, the description changes when the effects of quantum mechanics are taken into account. Research on this subject indicates that, rather than holding captured matter forever, black holes may slowly leak a form of thermal energy called Hawking radiation and may well have a finite life.[8][9][10] However, the final, correct description of black holes, requiring a theory of quantum gravity, is unknown.

What makes it impossible to escape a black hole?

Popular accounts commonly try to explain the black hole phenomenon by using the concept of escape velocity, the speed needed for a vessel starting at the surface of a massive object to completely clear the object's gravitational field. It follows from Newton's law of gravity that a sufficiently dense object's escape velocity will equal or even exceed the speed of light. Citing that nothing can exceed the speed of light they then infer that nothing would be able to escape such a dense object.[14] However, the argument has a flaw in that it does not explain why light would be affected by a gravitating body or why it would not be able to escape. Nor does it give a satisfactory explanation for why a powered spaceship would not be able to break free.
Two concepts introduced by Albert Einstein are needed to explain the phenomenon. The first is that time and space are not two independent concepts, but are interrelated forming a single continuum, spacetime. This continuum has some special properties. An object is not free to move around spacetime at will; it must always move forward in time and cannot change its position in space faster than the speed of light. This is the main result of the theory of special relativity.
The second concept is the base of general relativity; mass deforms the structure of this spacetime. The effect of a mass on spacetime can informally be described as tilting the direction of time towards the mass. As a result, objects tend to move towards masses. This is experienced as gravity. This tilting effect becomes more pronounced as the distance to the mass becomes smaller. At some point close to the mass, the tilting becomes so strong that all the possible paths an object can take lead towards the mass.[15] This implies that any object that crosses this point can no longer get further away from the mass, not even using powered flight. This point is called the event horizon.

Yesterday, i went school with jiawei to meet up with sinyee,kaixin and jiayee. Oh,jiawei rebonded her hair! Yay!!! When sinyee first saw her hair,she said yes,no more siao woman anymore. Jiawei heard it and said stop that. Ha,damn funny,but at least sotong is back,u know.
We actually went school to pay 3 dollars for the file and notes. However it turns up that jingyong,the ic, didn't bring it,or should say he have not print it out yet! Booya,i went school also to collect the reserve books. I managed to collect 6 of them,i m still left with bio,chem and physics past year exam book. I still left 3,jiawei they all left 2. I went to the MRT today to return eclipse back to jac.It's perfectly 1.23 when i received a message from jac that she will be late. Fine,but i was already 3/4 of my way there,no choice bu tto wait for her. I jay crossing the road(is it this jay?) and i came across this ahsoh. her agee fall in between 35+,if i m not wrong..She dressed in pink,and was holding on to a CANE in the public! I was like:'is she going to cane her child?' Practically i was wrong,ha,she just kept swinging her cane,making the 'woop' sound. Know what,she was,at the same time threatening a malay guy infront of her,and a indian guy far behind her. i was again:'is she the another version of the nanny programme?Is she here to train the 2 guys?' The malay guy looked at me,i looked at him,and i walked away.Standing at the same old spot,i saw the ahsoh walked past.She kept yelling at the 2 guy and at the same time threatening by swaying the cane of hers. When she walked away,even the staff there approach the indian guy to asked what had happened exactly. Ha,ha,i m so 'lucky' to witness this event. I phone my mum to tell her of this and i was shocked to know that she had met this ahsoh before. Okay,why she did not tell me about this? Crap,mum said that may be the ahsoh is suffering from depression. Poor thing,isn't it? My dad and mum both said the same thing to me:'Don't get so close to her next time' Kay,they've won.

I agreed to my jiefu to search details regarding the Egypt pyramid.This word 'Egypt' surely is hard to spell,it takes me many times to spell it correctly.You can say this is a punishment as i had forgotten his present.Ya,i had forgotten a lot of present for my friends too,oh my,short term! This goes nothing:
The pharaoh Khufu, like the pharaohs before him, began planning his 'house of eternity' as soon as he took the throne. A spot was chosen for building on the west bank of the Nile. Cemeteries were usually built on the west bank because the sun 'died' on the western horizon every night.
Khufu's architects were wise and experienced men. They knew the importance of building the Pharaoh's final resting place so that its sides faced directly north, south, east and west.
They planned a large pyramid- the largest one ever built in ancient Egypt. The outlines of the pyramid were measured and marked in the desert sand.
Then the building began. Large blocks of stone were cut from quarries nearby. They were dragged by groups of men across the desert to the site of the pyramid and set in place. Most of the workers were farmers who worked on building the pyramid during the flood season when their fields were under water.
After the first level of blocks was in place, the workers built ramps of mud brick, limestone chips and clay. The workers dragged the large stones up the ramps to build the next level of the pyramid.
For about 20 years, hundreds of men worked on building the pyramid. As they built each level, they also built up the ramps around the pyramid.
When the pyramid was almost finished, a special block covered in shining metal (either gold or electrum) was placed on the top of the pyramid.
Then, blocks of white limestone from quarries across the Nile were used to cover the pyramid. The blocks were trimmed to make the outside of the pyramid smooth.
Finally, the pyramid was finished.

Why did the ancient Egyptians use the pyramid shape?
Egyptologists have developed many theories about why the tombs of the early pharaohs were built in the pyramid shape. Here are three different ideas:

Thursday was the day when they release the results.E.oY results.
We are so desperate to know our results,that we kept calling to our friends,hoping they know our rankings.However to no avail,because Mr Ong didn't show anyone our results.
The next day,my mum inform me of my results.Phew,at least i am top 40. But,i still think that's not enough.The day when i took my report book from Mr Ong,he asked me whether i m satisfy or u can say happy about it. I say i m not,and he asked why,didn't i met my target?Although i did aim gor top 40,but i wish to be i top 10 instead. i promised my mum,but i didn't made it.So,it isn't much happy about it.

The rest of the days,we attended the lessons with our buddy, Cassandra,amelia and zhi yan were in the same class as i m.Amelia sat just behind me.We went there to attend their lessons until the last day of homestay-23 oct.
These days,throughout the lessons,i kept dozing off,ALMOST! The teachers all taught in chinese!
ALL IN CHINESE! Can you beieve it! It's like lullaby making you to fall asleep. Even in English lessons,the teacher still talked to them in chinese.And you know what? Their english is like super easy: 'brocolli,vegetable,have,has,strawberry...' Oh my god!
For gods sake! Their school doesn't have canteen,the students have a 3hours lunch break outside the school. Due to this reason,their school ends at 5.30pm. Lastly,the sun over there was super round and orange. It's looks like it is going to set,but it is only 3pm plus?!
